Three free chambers. A whole observatory to rediscover.
Prism Riddle is an optical puzzle game about making a route, not just finding the right angle. A lamp casts a finite-width beam through a stone chamber. Your instruments can turn it, gather it, separate its colors or divide its energy. The goal is to awaken the gate lenses while respecting the obstacles and the requirements of every target.
There is no fixed grid to dictate your answer. Mirrors, lenses and prisms move through continuous space, and the light reacts to every change. A promising route might fail because the beam is too wide for an opening, a splitter leaves a branch too weak, or a colored gate receives too much of the wrong wavelength. Each failure gives you something specific to investigate.
The first chamber already combines five instruments, several changes of direction, a focused beam and a color requirement. Basic tool explanations are available beside the scene, so the formal puzzles can focus on combinations. The first three chambers are free: a mirror route, a two-lens relay and a complete prism-dispersion puzzle.
The current collection has 12 original chambers, with larger scenes and more demanding combinations later on. Some have two lamps; others require several colored gates to light together while nearby lenses stay dark. More chambers are planned as the observatory grows.
A mirror preserves the light's colors while changing its direction. Its position decides which part of a beam it can catch. In a larger mirror puzzle, each turn affects all the turns after it, so a useful solution comes from coordinating the route across several chambers.
A convex lens can bring parallel rays together. A concave lens spreads them, or changes a beam that is already converging. Put two lenses together and their spacing becomes part of the puzzle. The useful point is not always the brightest-looking point: it is where the gate or passage needs the beam to fit.
A prism bends different wavelengths by different amounts, revealing the spectrum in white light. A mirror can redirect that spectrum and a filter can select part of it. Color filtering also removes energy, so the final gate needs both the right color and enough of it.
Start in a modern browser without installing a game client. Use a mouse, touch controls, the keyboard or numeric adjustments. Full-screen mode puts the chamber in view; undo and redo help you compare experiments. There is no countdown. Your active play time and personal best are recorded when you complete a chamber.
Finishing a chamber opens a clear result dialog with your time, next-chamber navigation and social sharing options. A challenge link takes a friend to the same chamber. Completed levels, layouts and personal bests stay in your current browser, ready when you return.
Prism Riddle
Prism Riddle is a browser-based physics puzzle game about arranging optical tools. There is no countdown and no single correct layout. Try an idea, watch the light, and follow what you discover.
If you enjoy experimenting with light in Prism Rules, start with three free chambers from our twelve-puzzle collection and explore the free workshop. Prism Riddle is an independent game with its own levels. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Prism Rules.
Prism Rules ↗Drag a tool into the light. Select it and turn its round handle, or use the angle slider. Light every receiver to the stated energy and color requirements. Crossed receivers must stay dark. Hints are always available.
Your completed experiments and puzzle layouts are saved in this browser on this device. No account is needed. Clearing browser storage also clears your progress.
A finite-width beam is sampled across 27 wavelengths. Mirrors reflect, prisms refract, and lenses use a thin-lens approximation. Splitters divide energy and filters absorb unwanted wavelengths. This is a geometric optics playground; interference, diffraction and polarization are not simulated.
