A place built to be illuminated

Each chamber is a tall architectural space cut through rock and fitted with brass lamps, glass instruments and dormant gate lenses. A level begins in darkness except for its source. As mirrors and lenses find useful positions, the route becomes visible through the building and the stone responds at the target.

The portrait layout gives light somewhere to travel above and below the current view. Openings may be offset across several floors, and a source can begin in a wall, near the floor or in an upper alcove. Its position, width, direction and color are designed separately for every chamber.

The puzzle is the whole route

A mirror can redirect only the part of a finite-width beam that reaches its surface. A lens can focus that beam for a narrow opening, but the focus continues along the reflected path. A prism separates wavelengths. A splitter creates two weaker branches. Filters remove unwanted colors, and apertures control where light is allowed to pass.

Formal chambers require the supplied instruments to participate. That rule keeps a solution from bypassing the intended optical relationships while still allowing continuous placement and more than one workable layout. The gate panel checks the simulated result: matching energy, color purity, mixed-light balance and any target that must remain dark.

The first level starts with five instruments because Prism Riddle is made for players who want a real combination puzzle from the beginning. Later levels add possibilities as well as difficulty: more devices can create more viable routes, but their positions need to cooperate across a larger space.

Play in the browser, then keep experimenting

The game runs directly in a modern browser. Drag and rotation handles provide quick control; sliders, numeric fields and keyboard steps support precise adjustment. Undo and redo make comparisons safe. Full-screen mode gives the vertical chamber more room, while touch layouts keep the controls below the scene on narrow screens.

There is no countdown. Active solving time and personal bests are recorded after a successful chamber, and progress stays in the current browser. The free lab removes the gate condition so you can place up to 18 optical instruments and see what the light does.

Free access and the full game

The first three chambers and the lab are free. Chamber four onward is unlocked with a one-time PayPal purchase; there is no subscription. Paid level layouts are delivered by the server only after the purchase session has been verified. A recovery code can be created after purchase to restore access in another browser.

An independent light-bending game

Prism Riddle has its own art, simulation and original chamber layouts. Players searching for games like Prism Rules may recognize the broad appeal of arranging mirrors, prisms, lenses and splitters, but Prism Riddle is an independent game and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Prism Rules.

The observatory is designed to grow. New chambers can introduce different source positions, new combinations and longer routes while keeping the same central promise: every visible change in the light should tell you something useful about the puzzle.
